College Life!

So, I am currently taking 21 credits. It's crazy! I love learning new things, but sometimes my assignments are, well, blah! I really like Greek Lit. We're reading Plato right. He, as well as Socrates, were absolutely brilliant. I'm reading the Life of Pi in English. Pi has such a sweet disposition. He doesn't understand cruelty and just gleans the truth he can from wherever he can. I'm also taking Western Civilization I. I'm currently studying the beginnings of Athenian Democracy in Golden Age Athens. The idea of letting members of society have an equal vote regardless of their social status was a wonderful improvement in the western world. Democracy in general was a wonderful improvement in the western world. The last course I'm taking is just unmentionable...I can't bring myself to talk about it :P

Life is Good!

You know life really is good. I think sometimes I tend to focus on all the things I don't have, instead of all the things I do. I got the chance to have coffee with a wonderful friend today and realized how special the people I love are to me. My family, my friends, random strangers I meet in wal-mart; I love people. Now don't get confused, I know I usually say I "hate" people, but what I really mean by that is, I don't like being in large groups of people. But there's something so special about getting to know a person. People are special, and really are the only things that matter in life.

"I do not wish to treat friendships daintily, but with the roughest courage. When they are real, they are not glass threads or frost-work, but the solidest thing we know."

Where Angels Fear To Tread

Hello everyone,
Life has been interesting lately. I've decided to start a blog. I guess I should start with where the title of my blog comes from.  In 1709 Alexander Pope wrote a poem called "An Essay on Criticism". The essay discusses worthy criticism and bad criticism. A very famous line from the poem is "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread.".  Alexander Pope was talking about the critics of his day. So, if I may suggest, If they had not "rushed in" they may have not been considered fools. That's why I titled my blog "Where Angels Fear To Tread", leaving off the "Fools rush in". I intend to be cautious and well learned on the subjects I choose to project my opinions on. On a less serious note, I will probably just ramble about the everyday happenings of my wonderful life! Life is beautiful. I don't always understand it, but I seem to find simple joys in it!
